Store adhesive in the bag it was shipped to you in with the desiccant pack and adhesive piercing pin. (remove the product insert) Make sure to expel as much as air possible before sealing the bag each time.
Do NOT put the insert back into the pouch because it will absorb moisture and increase humidity within the pouch.
Then store the pouch in a cool, dry, dark place, like a drawer or cabinet, at room temperature between 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit to protect your adhesive from light, heat, and humidity.
You do NOT need to store your adhesive in the refrigerator upon arrival or between lash applications unless your space is NOT temperature controlled.
If your space is NOT temperature controlled, store your adhesive in its pouch with desiccant pack and pin in the refrigerator. Before using the adhesive, remove the pouch from the refrigerator and bring to room temperature.
During air travel, store the adhesive with your carry-on items.
Exposing adhesive to constant changes in temperature will negatively affect performance and is not recommended. For ideal adhesive performance, it is best to maintain ideal storage conditions in your work/storage space.
It is always best to buy fresh and use fresh adhesive. Keeping back stock of adhesive is not recommended.

What is Flash Cure™ UV Light Curing Lash Application System? Expand tab

Flash Cure™ involves the combination of using a very gentle and low intensity UV LED light in combination with a specialized cyanoacrylate adhesive that contains a photo initiator. When the UV light is directed at the adhesive, the photoinitator within the adhesive acts as a catalyst to initiate the curing process of the adhesive – taking it from liquid to solid within seconds for a securely attached and durable extension that will last until the natural lash sheds. In addition to accelerating the curing process, adhesive fumes are quickly eliminated. In summary, this process accelerates the curing process, reduces fumes, and enhances lash retention.

Less experienced Lash Stylists will immediately enjoy being able to adjust and perfect their lash extensions exactly where they want them to be before they cure the adhesive. When using traditional cyanoacrylate lash extension adhesives, moving the extension after making contact with the natural lash hurts overall retention. This is due to the bonds that form from the moment they touch, which are then broken when you adjust the extension. As an RN and Former ICU nurse, safety is a core value of Jo Mousselli's. Under her direction, a team of engineers, chemists, curriculum developers, and professional Lash Stylists designed and developed the Flash Cure™ Light Curing System. Everything was tested to meet high standards for efficacy, safety, and compatibility.

The Flash Cure™ UV light emits ONLY UVA rays, which are the gentlest form of UV rays. Compare that with exposure to the sun, which emits both UVA, UVB and UVC rays.
Xtreme Lashes proprietary patent-pending and customizable UV blocking Silicone Upper and Under Eye Patches reduce your clients’ exposure to UV rays during their application to miniscule levels.
For example, if a stylist applies 100 extensions or fans per eye for a total of 200 attachments during a lash application, she/he will flash the light a total of 200 times. Since, with each attachment, the stylist will only flash the light for 1/5th of a second on average, the client's exposure is only 40 seconds of UVA rays – that’s less than a minute! Compare that to the average time you spend in the sun with your eyes open without UV blocking glasses, during which your eyes are subjected to UVA and UVB rays. Additionally, since your client’s eyes remain closed during the application, and you’ve protected their upper and lower eyelids with UV blocking patent-pending customizable patches, your client’s eyes and eyelids are being protected from UV rays with only their lash line being exposed. If you follow our Flashcure step-by-step instructions, the rest of your client's face and body as well as your hands and your body should NOT get exposed to UV rays during the application.

Use Xtreme Lashes Flashcure UV-blocking Customizable Patent-Pending Upper and Under Eye Patches. Do NOT keep the upper eyelid exposed to the UV light rays. And, Do NOT use any other eye patches. Other eye patches will NOT block UV rays regardless of their color or shape.

Use Xtreme Lashes Flashcure UVA LED light that was designed and developed to go hand in hand with Flashcure adhesive. Do NOT use any other UV light. Other lights may be too hot, they may emit higher UV rays than necessary, and/or the adhesive may NOT cure as well.
Use Xtreme Lashes Flashcure Adhesive designed and developed to go hand in hand with the Flashcure UV LED Light. Do NOT use any other adhesive. Other adhesives my not have the right ingredients to cure in a flash and/or may be too thick, too thin, too fast, too slow and too odorous. Remember, at Xtreme Lashes everything is developed holistically and symbiotically to work as a system.
Use the Xtreme Lashes Primer to prime natural lashes BEFORE you attach. The Xtreme Lashes primer and the Flash Cure™ adhesive were designed to work together to give you the strongest attachment and the best retention.
Keep the client’s eyes closed during the application and instruct them NOT to open their eyes during the application.
Do not look directly into the UV light when the light is turned on. SHOW caution image on light.
Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation within your lash application space during your lash applications.
Make sure you’ve been trained and certified in the Fundamentals of Professional Eyelash extension application to use the Flashcure System.

Who can receive lash extensions using the Flash Cure™ UV Lash Extension Application System? Expand tab

If your client is a candidate for eyelash extensions per the client consultation you conduct, then they will qualify to receive lash extensions using the Flash Cure™ UV Lash Extension System with the following guidelines and precautions that we have always taught our Lash Stylists to follow:

Always start with a pre-application consultation and end on aftercare instructions with every client and with every client application. And, if in doubt, always have your clients consult their medical providers.

Note that some individuals may have underlying medical conditions and/or are taking medications – topical, oral or injectable - that increase sensitivity to light: referred to as Photosensitivity. Photosensitivity is not specific to UV light. Photosensitivity occurs with natural sunlight as well as artificial light UV and NON UV included. Extra precautions must be taken with those individuals when considering Flash Cure. Ask them to consult with their practitioners before receiving lash extensions since some will have very mild reactions to light while others may have more significant or severe side effects. Examples of medical conditions include: Lupus, Polymorphous light eruptions, Conjunctivitis and Rosacea. Examples of medications include: tetracycline, doxycycline NSAIDs and chemotherapy. Examples of topical products that can cause photosensitivity are retinoids, retinols and glycolic acid.

Those who have recently had eye or facial surgeries – medical or cosmetic - should wait until they are fully healed and cleared by their medical or esthetic practitioners before receiving eyelash extensions. Examples include: laser eye surgery, face lifts, and professional grade laser treatments, such as CO2 lasers or deep chemical peels.

Every client consultation should end on BOTH client and stylist agreeing to move forward with the lash application as evidenced by the client signing the waiver and release form.

Furthermore, while flash cured lash extensions are more resilient, more durable, and more securely attached, and can better stand friction, wind, water, humidity, and sweat, we recommend you continue to use Xtreme Lashes Aftercare Cosmetics because we can assure you that the ingredients in all of these products have been hand selected NOT to break down the adhesive bond. You don’t want to risk using cleansers, serums, creams and eyeliners that contain ingredients that can chemically break down the adhesive. The wrong chemicals can dissolve the adhesive.

Is this adhesive suitable for sensitive clients? Expand tab

While the FlashCure UV Lash Extension Adhesive has NOT been clinically tested for hypoallergenic purposes, it IS low odor and low fume. Additionally, because the adhesive is cured instantly when exposed to the FlashCure Light, taking it from liquid to solid, adhesive fumes do not linger in the air, and therefore, do not enter into the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose, and/or mouth. Stylist and client adverse reactions are minimized as compared to traditional lash extension adhesives.

For clients that experienced mild reactions to HP-Ultra adhesive, Xtreme Volume adhesive, and/or other adhesives on the market, we recommend using the Xtreme Lashes FlexFusion adhesive, which has been clincally-proven to be hypoallergenic. If the client's reactions were mild, and you and your client agree to try the FlashCure system, please use the following FlashCure protocol:

We do not recommend a patch test on the skin when assessing for adverse reactions because any irritants that may occur from lash extension adhesives are most often from the fumes interacting with the moisture produced by the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose, and/or mouth. When appropriate, stylists may elect to apply one pass of lashes on each eye (about 10 per eye) using the same length and diameter as the client's natural lashes (to create a look that is not too noticeable for the client leaving the appointment). Follow up with the client 24 and 48 hours later. If the client did not experience any adverse reactions, you may proceed with a full application using FlashCure if you and your client are both in agreement. And, please always start your application with a Pre-Application Consultation; end the consultation with a signed Waiver and Release Form. Furthermore, if in doubt, do not proceed with the application. Finally, if in doubt, always refer your client to consult with their medical provider.

Why is the adhesive only available in Clear? Why not other colors? Expand tab

As our industry has matured, we've come to realize that while having a pigmented adhesive is easier to see and gauge the amount of adhesive picked up, lash applications performed with colored adhesives are not as clean, seamless, or esthetically pleasing. Even beginner stylists are able to learn how to apply lash extensions with clear adhesives based on our testing during development. Both professionals and consumers LOVE the finished look of FlashCure lash extension applications.

Do I still need to cleanse and prime the natural lashes when using Flash Cure Adhesive? Expand tab

Yes. Natural lashes that have environmental dust, debris, oils, sweat, tears, etc. have a barrier preventing secure lash extensions attachments. Cleansing the natural lashes to remove contaminants, followed by using the Xtreme Lashes Primer, which creates the optimal natural lash pH, will result in more secure lash extension attachments that are resilient and not as susceptible to friction, wind, water, humidity, and sweat.

In our testing, we found that using the Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Primer significantly increased the retention rate of clients when used with all Xtreme Lashes adhesives, including the Flash Cure UV Lash Extension Adhesive.

Can you elaborate on up to "triple retention"? Expand tab

With FlashCure, lash extensions are securely attached and usually last until the natural lash sheds. The lash extension loss your clients will experience between Relashes is primarily due to natural lashes shedding due to their lash growth cycle. FlashCured lashes are NOT as susceptible to water, wind, humidity, sweat, rubbing one’s eyes, or even rubbing against a pillow overnight. With FlashCure, your Designer Lash applications™ will last for weeks to come. At Relash appointments, you will notice many more overgrown lashes with extensions attached to them than ever before with traditionally applied lash extensions. Please peel remove overgrown extensions prior to proceeding with the lash application.

Also, remember to educate your clients on how to cleanse their lash extensions using the Xtreme Lashes Cleansing Applicators and Eye Makeup Remover and Facial Cleanser, and instruct them to use the comprehensive line of Xtreme Lashes Lash Compatible Aftercare & Cosmetics because we can assure you that the ingredients in all of these products have been hand selected NOT to break down the adhesive bond. How do I remove the lashes applied with this adhesive? Expand tab

For full removal, use Xtreme Lashes Adhesive Remover. For removing one lash at a time, peel removal can still be used.

Can I use another UV light with the FlashCure Adhesive? Expand tab

Every product in the holistic Flash Cure™ Light Curing System was designed and tested to meet high standards for compatibility including the FlashCure UV Adhesive and the FlashCure UV Light. Our FlashCure adhesive operates within a specific range of UVA rays. Our Flash Cure UV Light is fine tuned to work with our adhesive's optimal operating range, allowing you to cure this adhesive instantly within the right conditions.

Other light curing systems on the market may have lights that emit stronger UV rays. Systems claiming to emit visible light are often false advertising, and may also be emitting UV light, giving you a false sense of security/safety. When you have a false sense of security/safety, you may NOT be taking the proper precautions for UV protection, therefore putting you and your clients at unnecessary risk.

Other light curing systems on the market may also be using epoxy-based, resin-based, or a combination of epoxy and resin-based formulas which have NOT been proven for eye area safety. Our FlashCure UV Lash Extension Adhesive is cyanoacrylate-based. Cyanoacrylate adhesives have been safely used for decades in the medical industry for suture-less wound closure as well as surgical procedures involving tissue adhesion.

We recommend that you use our system holistically for the best outcomes with your FlashCure lash extension applications.

Can I use another light curing adhesive with the FlashCure Light? Expand tab

Can I "overcure" the adhesive? Will my lashes become brittle with additional UV exposure? Expand tab

No. With each attachment and each activation of the FlashCure UV Light, neighboring lashes continue to cure; HOWEVER, once the adhesive is fully cured, the photoinitiator will be “used up” on each bond and additional UV light will no longer cause curing. Bonds will not become overcured, stiff, or brittle due to repeated exposure from the FlashCure UV Light. Bonds will cure securely and remain flexible.
